DIVISIONS AND DEPARTMENTS
Education for a highly interconnected world

      A-  The French Section comprises:

  •        École Maternelle (PS to GS)
  •        École Primaire (CP to CM2)
  •        Cycle Collège (6ème to 3ème)
  •         Cycle Lycée (2nde, 1ère, and Terminale with four branches: Literature and Humanities, General Sciences, Life Sciences, and Sociology and Economics).

The Lebanese program and the “French Baccalaureate” program are followed in the French Section. Although French is the first foreign language in this section, English is taught as a second foreign language as of Grade 1.

B-    The English Section comprises:

  •       Preschool (KGI, KGII, KGIII)
  •       Elementary School (Grade 1- Grade 6)
  •       Middle School (Grade 7- Grade 9)
  •       High School (Grade 10 - Grade 12 with three branches: General Sciences, Life Sciences, Sociology and Economics).
  •       AP (American Program) Section for students with different nationalities who are exempted from regular Arabic classes and the official examination.

The language of instruction in this section is English, and French is taught as a second foreign language (Pre-K- Grade 12).

C.     The Technical School offers six types of diplomas:

  •        Accounting and Information Technology
  •        Hotel Management
  •        Graphic Design/Commercial Arts
  •        Education
  •        Topography

The Technical School has two cycles:

  •       The Intermediate Cycle comprises the classes of BP1 (equivalent to Grade 8) and BP2 (equivalent to Grade 9). Students of this cycle sit the official Brevet Technique or Brevet Professional.
  •       The Secondary Cycle comprises the classes of BT1, BT2, and BT3. Students of this cycle sit the Technical Baccalaureate, which gives them access to university.

 

D.    Day Care Center

This center, which is very well-equipped for infants of three months to three years old, is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Specialists take good care of children, offering them an adequate program, educational and entertaining at the same time, which prepares them for school and helps them integrate properly with others.

Central College has opened a new day-care center in Ajaltoun, equipped with the latest facilities to provide a healthy and safe environment for children, under the supervision of highly qualified staff members.

Children of the Day Care Center have priority for enrollment and admission into CCJ.

 

E.     Central Club

The Sports Club is one of the most modern clubs in the region. Being very well-equipped, it provides members with unprecedented services and amenities to help them achieve their health and fitness goals. Our students use it during school hours and in the afternoons for extracurricular activities. It is open for the public from 3:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It houses a semi-Olympic swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna, and a spacious body building hall. Members have a variety of choices:

Martial arts (judo, karate, taekwondo, kung fu, boxing, etc.)

Rhythmic arts (dance, ballet, ballet jazz, aerobics, step, stretching, trampoline, etc.)

Fitness arts (the fitness hall has been recently renovated)

Ball games (tennis, squash, table tennis, etc.)

Group games (basketball, volleyball, mini football, mini handball, etc.)

 

F.      The Music Institute

Professionals teach CCJ students and pupils from other schools theoretical and application courses in music. The classes are taught in the afternoons and on Saturdays to help learners express their love for music. In 2008, the Music Institute established an orchestra of around 70 students, who hold a music concert every year. Pupils aged 4 to 6 years can join the preparatory Music Atelier. Pupils aged 6 and up decide on an instrument of their choice.

It is worth mentioning that the Music School offers certificates approved by the Lebanese Government.

G.   CCJ Radio Station- Lebanon, the Culture

Central College has launched a radio station under the name of Lebanon the Culture, broadcasting from CCJ on 88.5 and 92.3 MHZ-FM. Educational, religious and cultural issues and events are covered, aiming at promoting societal and cultural awareness to public listeners of all ages.

 

H.   The Scout Group

         Holding the name of Kadmous, the group has boys and girls of all ages, who meet on a regular basis to carry out activities that promote responsibility, friendship, peace, and love for Mother Nature.
